Virginia Beach Vision is a non-partisan, issue-oriented organization of over 100 CEO- and senior-level business and professional executives established in 1993. Its mission is to provide private sector support for initiatives and ideas that will help the City of Virginia Beach and the region achieve increased economic vitality and an enhanced quality of life for residents and visitors.

Among the key areas on which Vision focuses are economic development, education, transportation, tourism, technology, arts and culture, sports development, environmental land use enhancements, and improved regional cooperation.

OUR VISION

At the core of our efforts is a vision of our community in which a number of its superb attributes are enhanced to position Virginia Beach as the premier city of its size along the eastern seaboard. These include an excellent public school system that will educate and prepare a workforce that attracts and retains companies with well-paying jobs for employees demanding a quality of life that Virginia Beach is uniquely suited to provide; inherent resort destination qualities that can be improved to attract a higher income clientele to vacation and convention here; an improved transportation infrastructure that will move people, goods and services swiftly, safely and efficiently in pursuit of their professional and personal needs; while at the same time continuing to maintain a low tax rate for citizens.
