Our Mission is to create a vision and advance initiatives necessary to the City of Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads region’s future development, prosperity and quality of life.
Virginia Beach Vision was founded in 1993 by a handful of prominent business and civic leaders who saw the need for a non-partisan, issue-oriented group to provide private sector leadership that could help advance the City and the Hampton Roads region in developing and furthering goals of progress and prosperity throughout our communities.
Executive Director, Virginia Beach Vision
Nominations and applications are now being accepted for the position of Executive Director of Virginia Beach Vision, a business advocacy organization based in Virginia Beach. The position will be available on or about May 31, 2024, upon the retirement of the 16-year incumbent, Martha McClees.
Founded in 1993, Virginia Beach Vision's mission is to create a vision and advance initiatives necessary to the City of Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads region’s future development, prosperity, and quality of life.
The President serves as Chair of the Executive Committee and 130-member Board of Directors and works with the Executive Director on the implementation of organizational priorities. A search committee, chaired by the current Vice President and comprised of the current and three previous presidents, will screen candidates and make a recommendation to the Executive Committee.
