We are privileged to have First Lady of Virginia, Pamela Northam as our guest to speak on early childhood education initiatives.  Governor Northam and the First Lady have taken many steps to improve school readiness for at-risk three- and four-year-olds in the last six months, including the completion of a statewide Early Childhood Education Needs Assessment and draft Strategic Plan.  The Executive Leadership Team on School Readiness launched in October 2019 and is now responsible for developing a plan to ensure all at-risk three- and four-year-olds have access to a publicly-subsidized care and education option by 2025.
