With the City’s FY 2071-2018 budget process concluded, the task force has been asked to refocus its attention on new city initiatives designed to align the city’s action oriented process with the City Council’s 10 goals delineated during their February 2017 retreat.  To facilitate performance management measures, the city created a new office of Strategy, Transparency, Innovation, and Resiliency (STiR).

Catheryn Whitesell, formerly Director of  Budget and Management Services, now serves as Director of STiR and will be the speaker at our meeting.  The STiR office will drive organizational use of data collection and interpretation, performance measurement and management, and strategic foresight.  Catheryn will provide us insight into the establishment of new Strategic Goal Teams and how they will:

1. Conduct analysis to identify future trends that may impact city goals.
2. Develop measurable objectives and key performance metrics capable of tracking city effectiveness toward goal attainment.
3. Use technology to create informative dashboards highlighting data collected to indicate real time progress.
