The Education Task Force will meet on Tuesday, March 26th at 9:00 a.m. in the offices of Hourigan Construction (in the Fulton Bank Building), 4429 Bonney Road, Suite 200, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. As discussed at the February meeting, Dr. Donald Robertson, Superintendent, Virginia Beach City Public Schools, will be joining us to lay a foundation for our future discussions of the public school system.

The Affordable Housing Task Force will meet on Wednesday, March 27th at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Avenue, Suite 1700, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Ms. Shernita L. Bethea, Housing Administrator, Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, will be our guest speaker. She will brief us on the HRPDC’s efforts to address affordable housing.

City Visioning Task Force meeting - Kevin Chatellier, Director, Budget & Management Services, City of Virginia Beach will again be our guest to discuss the City Manager’s proposed budget that was released last week.

Business Development Task Force members: The task force will meet on Wednesday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the offices of Hourigan Construction (in the Fulton Bank Building), 4429 Bonney Road, Suite 200. On April 30, Virginia Beach City Council will vote on whether to allow for collective bargaining.
