Former Director of Planning, Barry Frankenfield, will be our speaker.  He will brief us on the development of the Envision 2040 plan, its elements and “bold steps,” as adopted by city council in 2012.  We will be subsequently reviewing the plan to identify modifications that will acknowledge progress made and will address changes in technologies and culture. This will provide us with direction in participating in the update to the Comprehensive Plan and to work with our elected and administrative leaders in charting a clear vision for the city.

Kathy Warren, Director, Department of Planning and Community Development, City of Virginia Beach, will share her priorities as Planning Director for the months ahead, planning elements that should be focus points in the comprehensive plan update, changes being made to stormwater regulations and other areas of relevance.  

Nancy Helman, Director, Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, will share results of the VICTUS Study (Advisors Sports Marketing Study). Meeting will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, Conference Room 1 - Administrative Offices, 1000 19th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
