There will be a Joint Resiliency Task Force Meeting on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Ave., 17th Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Brian Ballard, AICP, Regional Community Plans Liaison Officer for the U.S. Navy, will brief the task force on the Navy’s efforts to combat sea level rise and recurrent flooding in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. The Business Development Task Force will meet on Monday, February 5th at 3:30 p.m. in the offices of Virginia Beach Economic Development, 4525 Main Street, Suite 700, Virginia Beach, VA 23462 The guest speakers will be Charlie Bauman, Chuck Rigney, and Steve Herbert; they will be discussing the latest plans for the Navy land surrounding Oceana.

The Affordable Housing Task Force will meet on Thursday, February 15th at 3:30 p.m. in the Nexsen Room, 4525 Main Street, 14th Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.  Ruth Hill, Director, Dept. of Housing and Neighborhood Development, City of Virginia Beach will be our guest speaker. She will discuss the City/VT Housing Study and the recommendations to City Council.
