The Education Task Force will meet on Tuesday, September 24th at 9:00 a.m. in the Clark Room at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Avenue, 17th Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Christina Brooks, Senior Director of Community Initiatives with the Hampton Roads Workforce Council will share updates on regional education programs with our Education Taskforce committee.  Topics will include workforce readiness programs related to the defense industry, offshore wind, and tourism.

The joint Affordable Housing Task Force and Resilience/Environment Task Force meeting to discuss the rezoning of Signature Meadows Golf Course has been rescheduled to November 20th at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will be held in the Atlantic Room at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Avenue, 17th Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. As a reminder, this will be a joint task force meeting where Jonathan Skinner, President of Harrison and Lear, will present development plans for the Signature Meadows Golf Course. These plans are facing opposition from neighbors who wish for the property to remain a golf course. The Planning Commission public hearing will be held in January 2025.
