A meeting of the Resort Development Task Force has been scheduled for Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. in the offices of Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Ave., 17th Floor. Linwood Branch will be sharing with the task force concerns regarding the Capstone Project that is being considered by City Council for the “Sports and Convention District”.  A subsequent meeting will be held with city staff to allow the task force members to pose questions on the proposed development. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this important meeting.

There will be a Joint Resiliency Task Force Meeting on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Ave., 17th Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Brian Ballard, AICP, Regional Community Plans Liaison Officer for the U.S. Navy, will brief the task force on the Navy’s efforts to combat sea level rise and recurrent flooding in Norfolk and Virginia Beach. He will share information on the funding needed and planned, coordination efforts with our two cities, and how we, the business community, can assist in supporting the Navy’s efforts via local, regional or state prioritization and/or funding.   Please R.S.V.P. via the calendar notice.
