The next meeting of the Resiliency Task Force will be on Thursday, July 29 at 8:30 a.m.  at Williams Mullen, 222 Central Park Avenue, Suite 1700, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Councilwoman Barbara Henley will be our guest to discuss the projects related to the pending storm water projects bond referendum.  As was requested at our last meeting, Ms. Henley will also address storm water maintenance projects and sequencing that are not formally a part of the bond referendum but that will be facilitated by it. Tuck Bowie, President of the Terry Peterson Company and chairman of the Mayor’s Process Improvement Committee will be our guest to continue our discussion of the city’s permitting process.  The Process Improvement Committee has provided the city with an analysis of the challenges faced by businesses when navigating the building review process and their recommendations for improvement.  This meeting will be our opportunity to discuss these findings in preparation for a meeting being scheduled for November with Deputy City Manager Ron Williams and Planning Director Bobby Tajan.
